The Electors Chapel in the Cathedral

The little chapel on the south side of the cathedral choir was originally built between 1420 and 1430 as the library for the St. Bartholomew parish.  It was first used as an electoral chapel for the election of Emperor Albrecht II.  Soon it became the official electoral chapel.

Wahlkapelle im Dom

Die kleine Kapelle an der S�dseite des Domchors ist 1420-30 als Liberij, d. h. als Bibliotheksraum des Bartholom�us-Stiftes errichtet worden. Sie wurde 1438 bei der Wahl Albrechts II. zum erstenmal als Wahlkapelle benutzt, was dann bei den sp�teren Wahlen zur Regel wurde.
