This view encompasses in the foreground the narrow lanes and squares between Bendergasse and the Old Market.  At the far right is the crennelated crown of the Stone House, in the midground the west side of the Roemerberg.  Behind that are the "new" buildings of the town hall build around 1900 with the tower known as the "Long Franz."  on the right of that is St Paul's Church, built between the 1780s and 1833 on the site of the former Church of the Barefoot Monks.  The German National Assembly convened there in 1848 and 1849.

Der Blick umfasst im Vordergrund das ganz enge, jeden Platz ausnutzende Quartier zwischen Bendergasse und Altem Markt. Rechts der Zinnenkranz des Steinernen Hauses, dann im Mittelgrund die Westseite des R�merbergs. Dahinter die Neubauten des Rathauses (errichtet 1900ff) mit dem Langen Franz; rechts die Paulskirche, erbaut 178.) bis 1833 nach Pl�nen des Stadtbaumeisters Liebhardt an der Stelle der gotischen Barf��erkirche. Hier tagte 1848/49 die deutsche Nationalversammlung
